Gas Prices Near $4.00 a Gallon in Nebraska

(Undated) -- Gas prices in Nebraska are nearing four dollars a gallon.

AAA says the average price for a gallon of regular gas in Nebraska is $3.98, which is up 6 cents since last week and 17 cents from a month ago.

The cheapest gas in Nebraska is in Knox County, where the average price for a gallon of unleaded gas goes for $3.75. Wheeler County sees the state's highest prices, where a gallon of regular gas is $4.35.

The average prices for a gallon of unleaded in Nebraska's Metros are the following:

Columbus - $3.93

Grand Island - $3.97

Kearney - $4.07

Lincoln - $4.05

Norfolk - $3.87

North Platte - $4.06

Omaha - $3.93

The average price of gas in Nebraska remains cheaper than the national average, which is up to $4.33 for a gallon of unleaded gas.
