Power Mostly Restored After Southwest Metro Omaha Outage

The Omaha Public Power District reports power has been restored to most customers who had lost electricity after some switch gear equipment was damaged Monday morning in a traffic crash near 180th and "Q" Streets.

The utility says 1,332 customers were initially affected, and the circuit was de-energized for safety as repairs are made and power is switched.

The outage was from Giles Road to "J" Street and from 178th to 202nd Streets.
