(Prairie City, Iowa) -- A bill to expand access to biofuels in Iowa is now law.

Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds signed the bill into law in Prairie City Tuesday morning. The new law requires most gas stations to carry 15-percent ethanol blend fuel by 2026. Small gas stations selling less than 300,000 gallons of fuel per year are allowed an exemption.

The bill received support from both Republicans and Democrats as it passed through the state legislature.
