(Iowa) -- Iowa's unemployment rate continues to drop.

Iowa Workforce Development says the state's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate fell to 3.0 percent in April from 3.3 percent in March. In April of 2021, the state's unemployment rate was 4.5 percent.

Manufacturing added the most jobs last month for the fifth consecutive month. Construction, education, and business services also added jobs in April. The leisure and hospitality industries saw little change from March but continue to lead all sectors in overall job gains in the last year.
