"B1G" Baseball Tournament Omaha Traffic Information

The 2022 Big Ten Conference Baseball Tournament at "Charles Schwab Field Omaha" runs Wednesday into Sunday, and the third seed Iowa Hawkeyes and sixth seed Penn St. open the tournament at 9 a.m. Wednesday.

The Nebraska Department of Transportation has suggested routes and traffic reminders for baseball fans and regular Omaha/Council Bluffs area commuters.

Heavier event traffic is expected around the ballpark in north downtown Omaha with out-of-town visitors expected to attend the tournament much like the College World Series.

The Omaha Police Department, in partnership with NDOT and the City of Omaha, recommend motorists take the following routes before the games:

For drivers arriving in Omaha from the east: take I-80 westbound and exit on 13th Street (Exit 454), then use city streets to get to parking options near "Charles Schwab Field Omaha," which is at 10th and Mike Fahey Streets.

For drivers arriving in Omaha on I-80 from the west: Travel Interstate 80 eastbound to I-480 northbound, exiting on Leavenworth Street (Exit 1B) or Harney Street (Exit 2A), then use city streets to get to the ballpark area.

After each game, exiting traffic will be directed to 13th Street or Cuming Street to ease congestion.

NDOT say there may be lane closures on I-480 from U.S. Highway 75 to the Missouri River due to construction activities.

There may also be lane closures on Dodge Street over I-480 due to construction.
