Post - Covid Passenger Numbers Rising At Omaha Airport

The Memorial Day Holiday Weekend opens the American summer travel season, and Omaha Eppley Field management looks for 80-thousand travelers in and out of Eppley through Tuesday.

"And that's quite a few travelers, and we're excited to see them coming back in and out of the airport as the industry continues to recover from the pandemic," says the Omaha Airport Authority's Steve McCoy.

McCoy tells KFAB Radio News they are still down about 15 percent from pre - covid, 2019 numbers.

'We know alot of these travelers are leisure travelers and those visiting friends and relatives, and it's a good kick off to that Summer travel season."
