An assault investigation is now a homicide case.
Early Thursday evening, Omaha Police responded to a shooting near 65th & Ames Avenue.
Officers say they found a victim, identified as 38 year old Clinton Brownlee, who was rushed to a hospital with C-P-R in progress.
Investigators say Clinton Brownlee was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
Police say there are no outstanding suspects at this time as the investigation continues.
