WalletHub says it used dozens of metrics to make its rankings including cost of housing, quality of schools, and quality of healthcare systems. Cedar Rapids' best category is affordibility, where it ranks 7th. Des Moines also makes the top-half of the list at 82nd. WalletHub says the best city to raise a family in is Fremont, California.
