(Polk County, IA) -- Polk County leaders are still asking for input from the community as they seek to update the Polk County 2050 Infrastructure plan. Planning and Development Manager Bret Vandelune says there are plans for housing, natural resources, agriculture preservation, and future land use. He says people can look into the goals and strategies for each of those categorizes online and submit their questions and ideas. The plan last updated 15 years ago is meant to guide a city, county and region's development decisions as they grow. The updated plan will be presented to county supervisors in August. The county had an open house in May so people can see the plan up close and ask questions.
