21-Year-Old Des Moines Woman Killed Near Women Of Achievement Bridge

(Des Moines, IA) -- A 21-year-old Des Moines woman is shot and killed near the Women of Achievement Bridge in downtown Des Moines. Police say the woman was shot in the 700 block of Robert D. Ray Drive around 9:30 p.m. Monday and died at the scene. Police say they found a gun at the scene but no arrests have been made. Police say this was a targeted shooting and there's no threat to the public.
