(Des Moines, Iowa) -- Des Moines will host a full Ironman Triathlon this weekend.
On Sunday, athletes will compete in the 140.6 mile race, including a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike ride, and 26.2 mile run. Des Moines will continue to host Ironman events through 2025. Next year's Ironman triathlon will be a half-distance race of 70.3 miles.
