Severe thunderstorms move through the Omaha/Council Bluffs area from Southeast Nebraska into Southwest Iowa late Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.
Heavy tree damage reported in the area, and that means power outages.
OPPD crews have been working on power restorations for thousands of customers, especially in Douglas, Sarpy, and Cass Counties.
On the Iowa side of the Missouri River, MidAmerican Energy crews are busy with restoration in Council Bluffs, Glenwood and elsewhere in southwest Iowa.
A confirmed tornado was spotted late Tuesday night by law enforcement near Malcolm, Nebraska, northwest of Lincoln in Lancaster County, causing tense moments at the Pine Grove R-V Park in Greenwood, which reports damage.
That cell led to a Tornado Warning in parts of Sarpy County;
The storms also produced three-inch hail, strong winds, and heavy rains.
The storms do bring cooler temperatures, at least for today.
