(Iowa) -- Democratic nominee for Iowa governor Deidre picks her running mate.
Today, DeJear says she'll share the ticket with Clinton County Auditor Eric Van Lancker. He ran for the Democratic nomination for Iowa Secretary of State this year but lost with 28 percent of the vote. He and DeJear will appear together for the first time Saturday at the Iowa Democratic Party state convention in Des Moines.
DeJear ran unopposed for the Democratic nomination in the Iowa primary and will face incumbent Republican governor Kim Reynolds in November.
