(Des Moines, IA) -- Iowa Workforce Development is saying an internet outage will not keep state residents from receiving unemployment benefits. The organization is reporting IowaWorks.gov is currently down but services are already being worked on to help get the site back up and running. While ongoing benefit payments are not being affected by the outage, the complication is making it more difficult for Iowans to complete new and weekly unemployment forms. The organization says they are looking into temporary solutions for while the website is down.
