Ceremony unveils street signs, Sheriff’s K9 that honor Cpl. Daegan Page

(Sarpy County, NE) -- A fallen Omaha area Marine is honored Thursday morning.

During a ceremony Thursday morning, Sarpy County unveiled the street signs that honor 23 year old Cpl. Daegan Page, who was one of 13 American service members killed in Kabul, Afghanistan on August 26th, 2021. During the ceremony, the Sarpy County Sheriff’s Office also introduced its newest K9 officer, who is named Daegan in Cpl. Page's honor.

Page grew up in Red Oak, Iowa, and in the Omaha-metro area. He was a Millard South graduate and joined the U.S. Marine Corps after graduating from high school. The “Cpl. Daegan Page Street” honorary street designation is located at the intersection of 157th and Gertrude streets.
