Law Enforcement Searches For Omaha Inmate

Law enforcement is on the lookout for a missing Omaha inmate.

The Nebraska Department of Correctional Services says 50 - year old John Strickland walked away from the Community Corrections Center -Omaha on Monday and removed his tracking device near 42nd and Cuming Streets.

Corrections says Strickland started his sentence October 5th, 2021.

He was sentenced to three years on charges out of Hall County that include criminal mischief, theft (3rd offense), and terroristic threats.

He has a tentative release date of January 26th, 2023.

Anyone with knowledge of his whereabouts is asked to contact local law enforcement or the Nebraska State Patrol.
