(Council Bluffs, IA) -- A Council Bluffs man with Alzheimer’s is reported missing Monday afternoon.
Council Bluffs Police say 68 year old Robert Shamblen was in contact with his wife via a prepaid phone earlier, telling her “he was stuck in the woods.” Investigators say Bob is known to walk towards Iowa Western on McPherson & Valley View. He's also know to visit the McDonald's and Hy-Vee near Madison Ave. Shamblen was last seen Sunday night when he went to bed. Investigators say he was gone by 9:00 Monday morning, and it is not know what time he actually left the home.
Police say Bob may be wearing a green and white shirt with jeans. He is described as 5′7, 20 pounds, with grey hair and eyeglasses.
Anyone who sees him should call 9-1-1.
