(Des Moines, IA) -- Search and rescue for an 11-year-old girl who fell into the Racoon River in Des Moines resumes Thursday morning. However the Des Moines Police Department says the girl is presumed to have drowned. Police say the girl fell in the river around 6:00 P.M. Wednesday after stepping off an inflatable raft with two other children. She got off, fell into the water, and didn't resurface.
