(Undated) -- A survey by AAA finds about 25-percent of consumers would consider buying an electric vehicle in the future, but it also finds some concerns. The survey finds 60-percent of consumers are concerned there are not enough charging stations.

"Nebraska recently announced some additional stations across the I-80 corridor and other states are following suit," said Brian Ortner, AAA Nebraska, the auto club. "But that is one of the main concerns for consumers."

Other findings:

·     Concern about running out of charge when driving – 58%

·     Unsuitable for long-distance travel – 55%

·     High cost of battery repair or replacement – 55%

·     Unable to install a charging station where they live – 31%

Ortner says consumers considering an EV may want to consult their AAA Resource Guide.
