(Des Moines, IA) -- Des Moines Police are identifying the victim of a fatal crash on Des Moines' south side.
Police say Dustin Atkinson of Indianola is dead after being hit as a pedestrian Thursday night. Police say officers responded to reports of the incident around 10:45pm near the intersection of Indianola Avenue and Pioneer Road. Atkinson was rushed to an area hospital in critical condition but later died of his injuries.
