Homicide Investigation At Branched Oak

Lancaster County Sheriff's Deputies are looking for a person accused of shooting and killing a man on a boat at the marina of the Branched Oak State Recreation Area.

Sheriff Terry Wagner Wednesday morning identified the person who died as 42-year old Benjamin Case of Lincoln, who owned the boat.

He was shot twice in the Tuesday night incident during a gathering on the boat that included four other people;

The Sheriff says Case died at the scene;

"They feel somebody walk on the boat, and the victim opens the door to the cuffy cabin and immediately gets shot twice by an unknown assailant,” Wagner said.

There were no other injuries;

Wagner says the suspect drove from the scene;
