(Iowa) -- Iowa is seeing a record number of new businesses.
The Iowa Secretary of State's Office says Iowa saw the highest number of new businesses in state history during the 2022 fiscal year. 33,331 new businesses registered with the Secretary of State's Office between July 1st of last year and June 30th of this year. That tops the previous record of 33,260 set in 2021.
March and June of this year saw the largest numbers of new business startups, with 3,179 new businesses registering with the Secretary of State's Office in March and 3,059 registering in June.
