(Iowa) -- Iowa's unemployment rate is back to its pre-pandemic level.
Iowa Workforce Development reports the state's unemployment rate fell to 2.6 percent in June, a drop of a tenth of a percent from May. Iowa businesses added 51 hundred jobs in June as the state's Labor Force Job Participation Rate increased to 67.8 percent. The leisure and hospitality industry added the most jobs last month, and the manufacturing industry saw its seventh consecutive month of job gains.
The number of unemployed Iowans dropped by 43,900 in June. The total number of Iowans in the state's labor force is up to 1,665,500.
