(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- A Cedar Rapids barbeque restaurant is heading to Kentucky to offer free meals to flood victims.
Willie Ray's Q Shack announced Monday night that the restaurant will be taking a 30 foot camper to eastern Kentucky in an effort to feed those affected by widespread flooding and heavy rains. Willie Ray's has a history of providing free meals for those in need, including in Cedar Rapids following the August 2020 derecho as well as in Texas following the blackouts in February of 2021. The trip is scheduled for Saturday, August 6th.
Willie Ray's says it is looking for more volunteers for the trip. You can find more information on Willie Ray's Q Shack's Facebook page.
