Quad Cities River Bandits win First Minor League Game at Field of Dreams

(Dyersville, IA) -- The Quad Cities River Bandits are the winner of the first-ever minor league baseball game at the Field of Dreams.

The River Bandits topped the Cedar Rapids Kernels 7-2. The River Bandits donned Davenport Blue Sox uniforms and the Kernels suited up in Bunnies uniforms, as the two wore early 1900's jerseys for the game. The Kernels were known as the Cedar Rapids Bunnies from 1904 to 1932. The River Bandits were known as the Davenport Blue Sox for multiple stints in the early 1900's.

The Chicago Cubs and Cincinnati Reds will take to the field on Thursday.
