(Ames, IA) -- An investigation is underway after the Ames Police Department responded to reports of a person found dead in an apartment complex.
Police responded to 425 Welch Avenue Wednesday. The cause and manner of death are currently unknown, pending autopsy results. Police say there is no ongoing threat to the community. The name of the deceased person has not yet been released.
