(Decorah, IA) -- Students at Luther College in Iowa identify seven types of bees on campus that have never been recorded in Iowa.

Emmelyn Cullen and Gwen Coleman, both of the class of 2024, studied the various species of bees on campus over the summer. Of the 55 species found, 7 have never been known to live in Iowa.

The study remains ongoing and includes research on which plants attract which bee species on campus.
