(Des Moines, Iowa) -- Food Bank of Iowa and two area partners are receiving half a million dollars in grant money.
The money comes through the Feeding America's Food Security Equity Impact Fund. Urban Dreams in Des Moines is receiving over $212,500 dollars to establish a food pantry at its headquarters on 2nd Avenue. In Harmony Farm in Earlham is also getting $212,500 dollars for equipment and staffing.
Food Bank of Iowa is receiving $75,000 to deliver health food to low-income communities. The full list of national grantees is available on the Feeding America website.
