Iowa Man Charged With Arson In Grundy County Fire

(Grundy County, IA) -- An Iowa man is charged with arson after a fire destroyed a Grundy County home. Crews were called to a house fire in Conrad (108 Washington Street) after 11 o'clock (Tuesday) night, and were told a teen girl was inside the home. Firefighters arrived and no one was in the home other than a pet, which died in the fire. Forty-five-year-old Jacob Switzer of Conrad has been charged with First Degree Arson. He's in the Grundy County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
