Man injured in Wednesday morning stabbing

(Omaha, NE) -- An investigation is underway after a man was stabbed early Wednesday morning.

Omaha Police say just after 3:30 Wednesday morning, officers were called to Jackson Tower for a reported cutting. Police say once on the scene, officers found 29 year old La'Darrien Hughes inside the building, suffering from a knife wound. Investigators say Hughes claims that a man wearing a hooded sweatshirt and ski mask cut him near 27th and Leavenworth. OFD medics transported Hughes to the Nebraska Medical Center for treatment of a non-life threatening injury.
