(Iowa) -- The northern lights could be visible in parts of Iowa this week.

The Space Weather Prediction Center has issued a Geomagnetic Storm Watch starting at 7pm Wednesday and lasting 72 hours. That storm could make the northern lights visible in Iowa. Areas north of Highway 20 have the best chance of seeing the northern lights, but it's possible they could be visible in central and southern Iowa.
