No Debates Planned In Nebraska Governor's Race

At this point, there are no plans for debates between the candidates for Nebraska Governor ahead of the November General Election.

Republican candidate Jim Pillen says he believes debates are "political theater."

In a statement, his campaign says he is "the most accessible gubernatorial candidate in Nebraska's history."

Democratic Party candidate Carol Blood, a State Senator from Bellevue, says she wants to debate Pillen, and she calls for one at the Nebraska State Fair.
