(Des Moines, IA) -- A man is in critical condition after falling three stories in downtown Des Moines’ Court Avenue district early Saturday morning.
Des Moines Moines Police Sergeant Paul Parizek tells WHO Radio News the man was in a stairwell inside 216 Court Avenue when he fell.
We asked Parizek about a social media post that says the man was sliding down the stairwell railing three floors up when he lost his balance and fell, but Parizek says police are still investigating the circumstances of how the man fell.
Parizek says police do not suspect criminal activity.
