After consulting with the Douglas County Attorney’s Office, the Douglas County Sheriff's office announces no charges will be filed against anyone involved in a late July boating mishap that critically injured three people in the northwest part of the county.
On July 25th, fire and rescue were sent to 176th and Island Circle for a boating accident on Newport Lake.
Investigators say an inflatable being towed had struck the sea wall near the bridge.
Early on, investigators ruled out alcohol and drugs as factors in the crash.
