(Iowa) -- The Iowa Department of Natural Resources is updating its beach safety advisory going into the weekend.
The DNR says a swimming advisory for E. coli at the following state beaches:
- Backbone Beach
- Big Creek Beach
- Emerson Bay Beach
- Brushy Creek Beach
- Lake Darling Beach
- Nine Eagles Beach
- Union Grove Beach
The DNR recommends taking precautions during and after swimming, such as avoiding swallowing lake water and showering shortly after swimming. More information is available on the Iowa Department of Natural Resources website.
