Des Moines street racers crash into 4 houses, smash parked cars PHOTOS

(Des Moines, IA) -- Police are looking for two drivers they say were street racing early Sunday morning in Des Moines, and crashed on East 14th, causing a block-long trail of destruction.

Des Moines Police say four homes have serious damage, and one of the houses is uninhabitable forcing the family to find another place to stay.

Several parked cars on the block were also hit and have damage.

The two cars that were street racing are wrecked. One is a silver 2018 Chrysler 300. The other is a black 2020 Dodge Charger.

Police say the two drivers left the scene. Dispatch audio reports witnesses saw several people get out of the two cars and run off.
