(Waukee, IA) -- An investigation is ongoing after Waukee police and fire personnel found two people dead.
"A little bit after 10:30 am, there was a call to dispatch of an unknown issue over on Abbott Drive," says Waukee Police Sergeant Mackenzie Ferrara. "Officers did respond. Unfortunately, they did find two deceased individuals inside the home."
A press release from the Waukee Police Department's Facebook page states it's an isolated incident with no ongoing threat to the public.
Ferrara says as of 4:30 pm, investigators were still at the scene.
"We want to make sure that we get our information accurate before we release that. Another big piece too is not all family has been notified for either party and we want to make sure as well that they are given the accurate information before we release any specifics," says Ferrara.
