(Cass County, NE) -- A teen charged in the death of a Cass County woman is ordered to be held with no bond.
On Tuesday, a judge denied bond for 18-year-old Jabari Parsons. Last week, a caller to 911 reported that there was a fire in a living room of a home south of Plattsmouth. Court documents show that when emergency crews arrived on the scene, they found Parsons in the home's living room with 55 year old Mary Blackwell dead on the floor. Investigators say Blackwell had suffered multiple cuts to her body with a fatal stab wound to her chest.
Parsons is charged with first-degree murder and use of a weapon to commit a felony. He will have a preliminary hearing on October 11.
