(Des Moines, IA) -- The number of new COVID-19 cases in Iowa is dropping.
There were 5,200 new cases reported in the last week, down 14% from the week before.
The Iowa Department of Public Health says that's the fewest new cases reported in a single week since the first week of July.
IDPH says the number of cases could be higher due to the availability of at-home tests that aren’t always reported to the state.
