A Summer Heat Wave To Bring In Fall

The Omaha Office of the National Weather Service says the Omaha/Council Bluffs region will see an abrupt change from Summer to Fall this week just as Autumn arrives.

They say highs today and Tuesday will go into the 90s, with High Fire Danger conditions expected Tuesday.

"We will be flirting with some records, so we will be monitoring that closely," Omaha National Weather Service Lead Meteorologist Laurel McCoy tells KFAB Radio News. "But, that'll only really last for one day as we get a front that rolls through on Wednesday, and we cool back down for the rest of the week."
