(Harpers Ferry, IA) -- Effigy Mounds National Monument will host a guided Night Sky Hike next week.
The hike will happen Saturday, September 24th at 9:30pm. The hike will be led by a Night Sky Ranger, and visitors are encouraged to dress warmly and be ready for mosquitoes. There will be an orientation for visitors at the Visitor Center starting at 8:30pm that evening. Visitors making a reservation are asked to provide their name, phone number, and the number of members in their party. Reservations can be made by emailing the Effigy Mounds staff at EFMO_Interpretation@nps.gov, calling Effigy Mounds at (563)873-3491, or stopping by the Visitor Center in person.
