(Lincoln, NE) -- The bad news keeps coming for the Husker football team.
On Tuesday, interim head coach Mickey Joseph announced that freshman Ajay Allen underwent a season-ending surgery Monday for an undisclosed injury. Allen ranked second on the team in carries and rushing yards through the Husker's first four games this year. He also scored two rushing touchdowns this season, which has now been cut short following his injury in the Oklahoma game.
Allen is able to medically redshirt and maintain his year of eligibility. Left tackle Teddy Prochazka is also out for the season after suffering an injury during the game against Georgia Southern.
