Construction To Close Riverfront Pedestrian Bridge

Next week, "The RiverFront" construction in Omaha will temporarily close the "Martin Luther King Jr. Pedestrian Bridge" because of ongoing work within Lewis & Clark Landing along the Missouri.

The "Martin Luther King Jr. Pedestrian Bridge" serves as an access point between the "CHI Health Center Omaha" plaza entrance near Capitol Avenue and the Missouri riverfront.

Many runners, walkers, and bicyclists from the downtown area use it as a path towards the "Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge."

The bridge will be closed on Wednesday, September 28th, and will not reopen until early 2023.

After completion of most of the downtown "Gene Leahy Mall" portion of the riverfront development this year, both "Lewis & Clark Landing" and "Heartland of America Park" are scheduled for completion next Summer.
