(Evansdale, IA) -- Police in Evansdale do not believe there's an ongoing threat to the public after Poyner Elementary School went into a lockdown Wednesday morning.
Evansdale Police say the school locked down around 8am after two people got into an argument in front of the school. Investigators a male driver got out of his car and confronted another driver and referenced shooting that driver. Police say they have not confirmed that there was a gun involved in the confrontation, but the school locked down out an abundance of caution while police investigated the incident.
Police say both people involved in the confrontation have been identified.
