(Ankeny, IA) -- The City of Ankeny is releasing the results of the Traffic Safety Awareness Project conducted last Friday.
Officers from the Ankeny Police Department, Iowa State Patrol, and Iowa Department made contact with 131 vehicles during the project, including:
- 88 citations
- 104 warnings
- 11 DOT inspections
- 3 motorists needing roadside assistance
- 2 arrests, including one traffic violation and one narcotics violations
19 officers from those agencies participated in the traffic safety awareness project.
