Junkstock: Harvest Edition returns this weekend and next weekend

(Waterloo, NE) -- One of the metro area's most popular Autumn events returns this weekend and next weekend.

Junkstock's Harvest Edition will be held September 30-October 2 & October 7-9 at Sycamore Farms, located just North of Dodge off at 228th Street. Parking is free at the farm.

The event was recently recognized as a USA TODAY 10 Best Fall Festival. This edition of Junkstock will feature 250 vintage vendors and makers from 28 states across the US, 40+ food trucks & artisan food vendors, 13 bands, adult beverages, and more. New this fall is a 25-foot by 20-foot living pumpkin mural, which will feature 2,000 real pumpkins and gourds. “Our inspiration for our new living pumpkin mural comes to us from Slindon Farms in England,” said Sara Alexander, Junkstock founder. “They started doing a mural on their roof in 1968 and the tradition continued through the pandemic when the farm closed. We spoke with the artist who had created these masterpieces the last ten years and he was thrilled that we were bringing the idea back to life with our own hippie twist.”

The giant pumpkin house that has become a fan favorite will be back this fall too. At 15 feet tall by 15 feet wide the structure is made with real pumpkins and was even featured in Midwest Living Magazine. This marks their 11-year anniversary and 26th Junkstock as well as the start of fall with shopping, a new living pumpkin mural, pumpkin house, apple cider donuts, hayrack rides, bonfires, and other fall favorites.

Junkstock: Harvest Edition runs Friday, September 30, and October 7 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. (9 a.m. to 11 a.m. for those with early bird passes), Saturday, October 1 and 8 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, October 2 and 9 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The pet-friendly event is $10 at the gate per day or $20 for the whole weekend.
