(Lincoln, NE) -- Alcohol sales will be allowed at Husker Basketball games for the next few years as part of a pilot program.
On Friday, the Nebraska Board of Regents approved a plan to allow for beer, wine and liquor sales at Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln for Nebraska Men's and Women's Basketball games, starting with this season. The pilot plan allows for alcohol sales through the 2023-2024 season. NU Regents first allowed alcohol sales at Pinnacle Bank Arena as a test run during the Big Ten Wrestling Championships earlier this year.
The Regents' Friday approval for alcohol sales is currently only for the Pinnacle Bank Arena. At this point, alcohol sales are still prohibited at Memorial Stadium, Haymarket Park and the Devaney Sports Center.
