(Marion, IA) -- Marion's annual Chocolate Walk is this Friday night, October 7th. Participating businesses will offer customers a complimentary chocolate treat between 7:30 and 10 p.m. The event, hosted by the Marion Chamber and Uptown Marion, also features entertainment and a chance to win 100-dollar gift certificates to Uptown Marion businesses, by presenting a receipt at the welcome booth located in the North Plaza. Attendees can also grab an event map with participating stores listed to make their shopping plan.
Entertainment includes acoustic artist Billy Heller on the Uptown Artway stage, street magic performer Jackson Green in the north plaza, and pianist Elisabeth Kissling inside Philip’s Diamond Shop. All entertainment begins at 7:30 pm.
“This is the perfect event to shop and dine in Uptown and see the new streetscape lit up at night,” said Brooke Prouty, Uptown Marion Main Street director.
