(Ankeny, IA) -- The Ankeny Fire Department is hosting its annual Ankeny Fire Prevention Week Open House Wednesday.
The open house will provide educational activities where people can learn more about fire prevention and safety. Some of the hands-on learning activities will include:
- A fire safety house
- Junior firefighter challenge course
- Spraying a fire hose
- Using a fire extinguisher
- Tours of the fire station
The open house will be held from 6pm-8pm at the Ankeny Fire Station Headquarters located at 120 NW Ash Drive. The event is free and open to the public.
