DES MOINES, Iowa -- Des Moines fire crews are on the scene of a large brush fire at the city's yard waste site on the east side.
The fire department says traffic's being re-routed away from the area east of Southeast 30th Street, south of the Iowa State Fairgrounds.
They say winds appear to be taking a large plume of smoke out of the city and shouldn't be causing air quality issues.
The fire department doesn't know, as yet, what caused the fire.
